This is a big, bulky and warm vest. It is not a vest you would wear indoors as a fashion accessory. It is extremely warm, extends past the waist and features ‘ insulated arm holes’ to deliver a great seal against the cold. If you are in the market for a warm, puffy outdoor down vest — this one’s for you.The vest fits well it’s not as thick as I thought it would be that is the reason I went to columbia.com and bought my jacket my coat through Colombian but I’m satisfied with the latestFirst, agree with other customers; runs large...I am a XXl (big & tall) in everything else but the XL is perfect fit for me (6’3”). Fits just right with a winter collared shirt underneath. Length is definitely longer than most vests, which is I wanted so it covers my lower back.It’s ligtweight for its size, with the proper amount of insulation..comfortably warm and not bulky. Inside is BRIGHT yellow (not a problem) with zipper breast pockets each side (and mesh pockets lower inside). One inside zipper pocket has special hole in fabric to pass headphone jack connected to device (in pocket).Outside shell is a nice poly fabric (and I guess I would have liked the shell a bit thicker- i.e. ripstop, etc..). Outside pockets have zipper also and height is just perfect for long arms. Color is a nice shade of black..looks classy (and can even work wearing out to dinner at a nice restaurant.) Note, Black is definitely nicer than black/gray I returned (basically because XXL was way too big).Heads up - Arms have loose, but effective elastic bands which fall under each arm, which feels a bit uncomfortable at first. However, I quickly got used to it and definitely see the garment design benefit of have this feature..keeps you nice and snug.I have been looking for 3 years for a quality vest that has a good design, fit and style and this is it! Definitely a value-buy for $50! Can’t beleive a finally found what I was looking for..I'm a vest guy. I have one long sleeve coat for the storm of the century, but vests and flannels suffice nearly always. Last year's offerings from Bean and Bauer had those small stitched rows of insulation about the diameter of a banana. Great for style points but not for warmth. Cabela's used to be a good option but they've limited their selection mostly to other brands. So I was delighted to see this CAT product which has the right length, heft and great interior pockets. The extra tall neck collar is a big plus on cold windy days. I was relieved that the lining was not CAT yellow.I was happy enough when I tried it on and saw how well it matched my checklist that I would have ordered another right away if the color selection would've been a little broader. Great vests are indeed hard to find and it would seem that enthusiasts would keep CAT busy making these.As I write this, it is going to be near 90 tomorrow in the Cascades but soon enough the sun will be southerly and the daytime highs half that. Which is why you might be happy to have one of these in the closet.I have not worn the vest due to the weather warming up after receiving the vest. But it looks to be well made and expect to wear it when winter returns.A great replacement for my husband’s threadbare old down vest!The communication from the seller was great. You save money and don't have to deal with the predilection for pink or cute. This is particularly true when it comes to winter jackets and vests. I don't want to look "cute" when I'm out in -30 and a gale force wind. I want to be warm.I have a Caterpillar jacket which I like and decided to try the vest. I got the medium because, although that size jacket is too big for me, I wanted room for big sweaters.Not only does it fit the way I want it has that bonus which comes with most men's clothes. It has pockets. A lot of pockets.Having the vest makes it possible for me to use my arms for photography etc., and I look forward to wearing it all winter long.This vest is very warm and lightweight. I noted the reviews and decided not to order a XXL tall and I am sure glad I did. I ordered just the XXL and it is definitely long enough covering most of my backside, and I am 5'10". The other thing that is nice is they have left ample room to do the zipper up right to the top, as I have a big neck and most of the vests will not even do up to the top.Excelente compra, el material es de alta calidad y se siente muy cómodo y bien, me encantó la textura exterior y es muy abrigados, lo recomiendo totalmente, sólo que pidan una talla menos de lo que usualmebre compren, mido 1.81 y peso 92 kilos y el mediano me quedó excelente.
